Buy this. Skip the rest.
Cut down from the bloated version. You already have the power bank, nuts and sunblock, so what is left is one supermarket trip and three things to order tonight.
Earplugs — this is what to look for
Official product photos so you can match them on Shopee. Buy both. They do different jobs.
Primary · blocks the most
Mack's Ultra Soft, NRR 32-33
Bright orange, tapered foam bullets. You roll them thin between your fingers, push them in, and they expand to seal the canal. That full seal is why foam beats everything else on low rumbling noise, which is exactly what snoring is.
Search Shopee for "Mack's Ultra Soft earplugs". NRR 32 or 33 on the box. Get a tub of 50 pairs, they are disposable and they vanish.

Backup · comfiest on your side
Loop Quiet 2, black
A small silicone ring that sits almost flush with your ear. That flat profile is the whole point — it does not get driven into your ear canal when your head is on the pillow. Blocks less than foam, survives eight hours far better.
4.2 stars across 13,676 reviews. Comes with four ear tip sizes so fit is not a gamble. Get black. ⚠️ Several fake "Loop Singapore" sites exist — Shopee Mall or the official store only.
Shopee →⛔ Ignore anything sold as high fidelity, concert, musician or Loop Experience. Those are engineered to let sound through at lower volume. Opposite of what you need.
Ticks save on this phone and survive reload. Roughly S$210 – S$330 left to spend, after merging in your friend's list.
Already sorted
Nothing to do. Here so you stop wondering.
One supermarket trip
NTUC FairPrice plus a Watsons or Guardian in the same mall. All of it in about 30 minutes, no delivery wait.
FairPrice onlineOrder tonight
These three are worth waiting for delivery. Order today, arrives tomorrow, four nights to break them in.
The earplug answer
You saw a hundred types. Only two categories matter.
Every sleep earplug is either foam or silicone, and they are good at opposite things. Foam expands inside the canal and blocks the most noise, especially the low rumbling frequencies that snoring actually lives in. Silicone sits flatter and is far more comfortable when your ear is pressed into a pillow all night.
Your problem is snoring in a shared bunk, and no commander can stop that the way they stop talking. So foam is your primary. Get the silicone as the comfort backup for nights the foam annoys you.
The number to look for is NRR, printed on every box. NRR 32-33 is the top of what exists. Anything advertising NRR 20 is not going to do the job.
Ignore anything marketed as "high fidelity", "concert", "musician" or "Loop Experience". Those are designed to let sound through at lower volume. Wrong tool.
The $58 mask
Skip it. Buy the one you already know.
You asked whether it is legit and whether it will last. I searched again and nobody can answer that, including me. Zero independent reviews exist anywhere. No comparison test, no third party writeup, no Reddit thread, no stated warranty. Both colours still sold out on their own site.
Compare that to the Loop earplugs above: 13,676 reviews at 4.2 stars. That is what "verified to last" actually looks like. Dusk & Noah might be excellent. There is simply no evidence either way, and you have four days.
And you already have better information than any review: you have used one before and it worked. First-hand experience of a product beats an unreviewed $58 brand every time. The only problem with your old one is the shipping time from China, which does not fit four days.
⇒ Buy the same style locally on Shopee so it arrives in time. Search a contoured or 3D blackout mask with a few thousand reviews. $15-25. If you love it, reorder the China one later for camp.
$58 is a markdown off a $116 "regular price" that nothing suggests anyone pays. That is not a reason to avoid it on cost — it is a reason to distrust the signal. The medical-sounding claims on the page are marketing copy.
A sleep mask has exactly three jobs: block light at the nose bridge where every cheap one leaks, contoured cups so there is no pressure on your eyeballs, and a strap that does not slide. All three are solved at $15-20 by masks with thousands of real reviews.
You are not being cheap by skipping it, you are avoiding an unreviewed product five days before you need it to work every night for nine weeks. Buy one proven contoured mask and be done.
Calibration: the mask matters less than the earplugs anyway. Lights out at 2230 means the bunk is dark already. The mask handles corridor light, other people's screens and early sun. The earplugs handle a problem nothing else touches.
Not a purchase
No cart fixes these.
Still cut
- Spectacle hooks and dark spectacles — you do not wear glasses.
- Magic eraser — genuine overkill. Cleaning rags exist in camp.
- A second backup eye mask — buy one good one instead.
- A third type of earplug — two covers it. Silicone putty only if both fail.
- Instant Kiwi boot polish — optional on your friend's own list, and polish plus brush are issued. Buy it later if yours is rubbish.
Two things his list flags that yours does not
Power bank: he carries 40,000mAh, I told you one 20,000 was enough. He is planning for no charging at all; you have friends confirming ports by the bed. Both can be true in different companies. Check what yours actually is — if it is a 10,000 slimline, add a second one. If it is already 20,000 or more, you are fine.
His list says black watch only, no white, cheaper the better. That is new information from someone who was there, not me reopening my old argument, so I am putting it in front of you once and leaving it. Your PRX is steel and it is not a dark watch. Your call, and I am not going to argue it again — but if it turns out to be an actual rule rather than a preference, a $20 dark digital in your bag is a cheap insurance policy.
And three things you need that he does not
Earplugs and an eye mask are not on his list at all. That is not an oversight on his part, it is that he does not have your problem. You have documented sleep-onset insomnia and you are entering a bunk with fixed wake times, strangers and snoring. They stay top of your list even though they are absent from his.
Swimming goggles. Not on his list, but they are required item 5 on your own enlistment notice. Your notice wins.
Wired USB-C earpieces. He just wrote "earphones". For you they are a work tool for client calls, so the inline mic matters and the connector has to be right.
